Tesco sleeping bags??

I see that Tesco have some competitively priced down Mummy sleeping bags at present, anyone tried one and if so, are they any good?

I am gobsmacked at the small pack size they fit into

Re: Tesco sleeping bags??

I have to be honest Steve I am really picky with my sleeping bags, if there's one thing I can't stand is being cold at night which is why I paid over £300 for my top of the range Rab down sleeping bag.

There are just some things that you can't take a risk with, me and sleep deprivation is one

just like yours Eh!!!!!

anyway at least I'm nice and toasty in the night. We do lots of camping and quite often without tents (you've met my hubbie so you'll understand what I mean) Paying that bit extra means that I have had years of very good use out of my bag

F**king Cheek...

I haven't got anything from Toys R Us....

BUT....I've a new two man tent from there AND a sleeping bag....

Not used 'cos the bike went wrong.

Tesco bag can't be worse the (Vanga?) bag I got from a camping shop..

Check the rating on it......

I,ve been looking for a while at various options for a couple of bags for the good lady and myself, we've got the tent and the rest of the gear but I am struggling to find one's that a)fit the luggage and b) fit my budget, so looking forward to seeing reply's to Steves post, incidentally how much are the Tesco bags and what Tog rating do they have?

£300!! Blimey, that is serious dosh indeed. I possibly.... probably.... almost certainly, have more "natural insulation" than you Sharrie! However, IKWYM about being cold, it is not nice and over a couple of days, really saps your energy.

I do like the idea of having a good bag then adding another layer if required, this works better with the envelope type bag though I reckon.

The 3 season bit was about all I took in when I looked at the bag, but that seemed to indicate that it would be OK for a late Spring and Summer usage?? It is about 6 times smaller than my existing bag when packed!
