just for info, the FFMC (french motorcycle rights group) are calling for mass demonstrations all over france on the 21st & 22nd march. They will be joined (in theory) by most other motorists rights organisations (cars, trucks, off roaders etc etc) to protest against the installation of the process "V.E." (which is complicated but basically gives the gendarmerie the right to impound you're vehicle, on the spot if they think it's not "safe", the removal, storage,expertise & obligatory repairs all at your own expense of course, if you wish to contest the procedure you have to pay another expert to give his opinion & even if the gendarmerie were wrong, you still have to pay for all the costs...)

Anybody planning on being / riding in france that week end, stay out of the towns & cities & beware that the police forces will be out to get bikes!

If is as cold as today that weekend, then you can demonstrate on your own, cheers for the nod about disruptions
