I have a run planned over there at the end of April or beginning of May when I get back from India. The plan is to spend a night at the Applecross campsite and then follow the coast to Durness for another night and back to Edinburgh on day 3

I hope all this Monty stuff doesn't make it too busy.

Haven't yet made to applecross on the bike yet , but planning to on my way to TLD start . Im going the long way to Edinburgh from London via Inverness ( Parents live in Drumnadroghit ).
Great road that i have driven a few times in cars , the most memorable being in a Rally prepared 1965 cooper 's' , competing in Historic rally (amazing)
I try to get up to the hightlands at least once a year on my @ , and i bloody love the roads . Is such a nice change as most of my riding is done in central London. The A82 from Glasgow - Loch Lomand - glencoe-Fort william-Inverness () and Loch Ness is a great ride . Although fort william to inverness along Lochness can get quite busy during season , coaches and caravans .
Most roads north of Carlise are great .

    Dear Thieving Pikey Scumbags ,

I know where there is a nice AT lying in London most days / nights.

Soho and DD - you really need to be a bit more carefull about this sort of stuff on a free access forum - you never know who is looking !!!! not everyone on the planet is as nice as our members
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

Nope , English Mastiff (My Wifes Dog)

He is Very Carefree, but funny, he can sense thieving scumbags or intruders outside.

I watched the 3rd episode, last night , on iplayer. His girlfriend came to stay and made the cottage *liveable*

Yeah, sounds similar in nature to my brothers (I think his is a bull mastif though it looks exactly like yours so I might be mistaken). Has me in stitches sometimes watching it torment my brother then run away

I'm from the next peninsula north of Applecross - Sheildaig; Mr Halls chose a lucky time to migrate - last year April + May was 'pure' stunning, weather-wise. Was up twice in May for a cycle race over the Bealach + a local wedding, felt like the mediterranean after Edinburgh. Most of the folk back home tanned / sun-fried. Watch the forecasts and get up there if you can..
Here's the road about 10 miles north of Applecross, looking south west.
