I agree, I "economised" by not buying a groundsheet when I bought mine. Big mistake that was soon rectified, and I bought a Khyam fitted one for a tenner off fleabay. Folds up around the packed tent and fits nicely in the bag. If camping on real soft grass, I probably don't bother with it....

I "economise" with all my tents (I've owned several) by buying a large sheet of generic polythene and erecting the tent on it on a lawn or park, then drawing round the tent with a marker pen. Then I remove the tent from the sheet and cut out the marked shape. Presto! One very cheap groundsheet.

    Re: Khyam Biker tent questions

I bought mine about 6 or 7 years ago, the destructions said to seal the seams with the tube of sealant supplied. When I went to do it I found that it had already been done, so even that long ago they were getting done during manufacture. By the way, I've been in some horrendus downpours in mine and the only place it leaked from was the "tunnel" roof where the water can pond if you don't use all three guy ropes at the front door (I never use the middle one as it gets in the way when entering/exiting the tent), I'm only talking about a few drips. I also have the footprint groundsheet and would'nt be without it
