    Turkey

I'm off to a place called Calis Beach, near Fethiye in Turkey for a week on the 24th. Dalaman Airport.

Anyone been....can I rent a motorbike.......Or do I have to sit and chill for a week....

    First time there for me.......

    Re: Turkey

I'd be surprised if you cant rent a bike (or a scoot at least ) in a fairly large resort town like that. Last time I was down that way I took my own bike

Hope you can find one, lots of excellent riding to be had down that neck of the woods.

If you get hold of something with a bit of poke and can escape for a long day, you'd do worse than to head North towards Denizli and to a place called Pamukkale...amazing place. HUGE crumbling Roman city on a hilltop, hot springs, spa baths with Tomb Raider-esque fallen columns under the water. 5m deep in places but so crystal clear you think you're going to bump into the submerged masonry! Then there's the wierdy rock formations caused by the massive calcium content in the water where it seeps out onto the hillside. Spectacular!

It is possible to hire Motorbikes in Turkey, I have not been able to get hire company names but they are not in the airport.

Thanks for all the input chaps.........

I can't do that 9.30am to the beach thing, so I like to go have mooch around......

As long as I can get 2 wheels I'm happy.....

They've got quads but I think they're an overated form of transport.......sort of bike that handles like a tractor. (Bet I end up with one...)

    Thanks again....
