Travel Advice Please

Could I please call upon the seasoned travellers on here to give me advice on a couple of questions?
1)Clothing for a trip to France,Spain, Portugal and Morrocco in a couple of weeks time. Like most people I have a motley collection of clothing including 2 piece leathers, 2 piece synthetic, Draggin Jeans etc etc. What would you wear for riding in?
2) Mandatory (or is it?) GB stickers. What size, how many, and where put i.e. panniers or number plate. Also as I am from Scotland can I use Ecosse stickers instead?
3) I have michelin maps for Morrocro,France, Spain and Portugal. They dont show campsites. My intention is to mix it up with camping, B&B and hotels, what guides would people recommend?
My loose goal is to leave Calais for some friends 100 miles away and then head generally towards Lisbon, maybe via Madrid. From lisbon, follow coast to Gibraltar and then over to M/cco for a few days. Return to Gibraltar and then up through SW France to Calais. Any one else out there over the next 2-4 weeks?
Thanks in advance
Rob

Re: Travel Advice Please

I was wondering about getting myself some Draggin Jeans for our trip to Spain in August, would be interested to see the replies to this one.

For Summer riding, I purchased a pair of Hood Jeans a cuppla summers ago. They are super, look good and are I believe, very good apopros "Wear reistance! Happily, I have never tested this.... touch wood

They also have a pair of "smart" black ones I fancied when I was using the bike for work visits as they look neat and tidy. AND, they are made here, not imported.

I used synthetics and Hood Jeans a fortnight ago in France, to me, a good mix as too much gear doesn't half weigh and take up space I used to prefer leathers, but they do get hot in the Summer in Yurrup and you are heading South...

I always have a GB sticker with Euro stars on the front and rear of the bike. The front one is a bit of an affectation of mine from years ago, but I am sure it used to help at Borders before we all became Europeans Ecosse c/w Euro stars is fine as I have seen plenty of 'em abroad!

All I can say to you as a Portuguese, visit the the Northweast of Spain (Bilbao, Santander , Picos de Europa) and the North of Portugal, mainly the Port Wine Region. World Heritage.
Forget leathers, because you wont be able to use them. Too hot. Jeans and summer Cordura jacket.

If you need any details on places to visit (forget the stupid tourist route) let me know. I've done London-Lisbon and back a few times.

Re: Travel Advice Please

came back from Morocco in April - used a Hein Gericke summer suit with no lining, Was just aboiut bearable in the UK and northern Spain and then was perfect in Morocco.

But I was doing a lot of offroad so leathers were not even an option.

Michelin Map for Morocco is Ok and about the best there is, but be aware of some of the routes that are shown as roads, in the South there are a good few that are full on Sandy Motorcross tracks whereas the Michelin map shows them as Goudrane ( Asphalt )

In the North avoid the Rif Mountain area ( East of Ketama )
