Re: england to croatia

Most places have cover available at the border but be careful on how long and what you are covered for. I had to do this at Moroccan border but it was not worth the paper it was written on so be careful not to have any prangs

Re: england to croatia

Did something similar last year, France , Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, France.

Good camp site in Daln - (near Pirmasens Germany), recommend entering Austria at the Bregenz end - route 200/198 good bike road. Hagnan Haselgare good camping by the river.

I did this in a week, steady pace.

Have a nice one.

Re: england to croatia

If you have an overnight stop while passing through the Eifel mountains in Germany (the area near the Nurburgring) then I recommend Bad Muenstereifel, a lovely little spot.

Trier is a nice place too but unless you are going to meander up or down the Moselle valley on the way it's probably off-route.

Ruedesheim is very touristy and tacky.

Re: england to croatia

Have a good trip down we shall look out for you on our way back up.

Our bike insurance covered Croatia and the E111 does as well

We did the same route as you except we missed out Bled as we came over from Trieste in Italy as there are no highways in Slovenia there so it saves you 20 euros.

The coast road from there all the way to dubrovnik is brilliant and should not be missed.

The first bit up to Zador has to be the best bit Anywhere. Careful about half way to Zador as sign post tries to get you on the dual carrigeway.

A campsite short of Dubrovnik (80 miles) is a must stop as the host is brilliant.

Check out my blog to see some of my pictures from our continuing trip

Wave alot if you see a blue pan heading the other way.

Regard Peter.
