luxembourg accommodation

Last year I did a four day trip around the France/Luxembourg/Belgium borders and stopped at the Hotel Esch, in Esch sur Sure, as recommended by someone on here, sorry can't remember who, but it was an excellent tip, the hotel was great and the roads around the area were superb - so much so that we're looking to go back this september for 4/5 days - only problem is that the Esch is full for the weekend we wanted, and the only other hotel in town wants almost twice as much for rooms - does anyone have experience of any hotels/b&b's etc within a 20/30 mile range of luxembourg city - we want to base ourselves at one place this time and set out each day for eifel forest germany, ardennes, metz area of france etc.

Any tips appreciated, ta.
