Sounds like you'd be taking the long way.

How about an RV @ Alford - take in the Convention then head out north west direction to find you a pit stop for the night?

Just a thought - don't want to interfere with your plans.

Loch Ness - Easily do-able in about 4 hours from Aberdeen, even taking the very scenic route (the above time scale does not include stops for picture taking. It's based on enjoying the roads & the scenery combined )

Alfords a good place to meet u, even if the conventions not your thing (£10 to get in ). Once you have an idea on timings, we'll sort a meet

Alford to Dores, on the southern side of Loch Ness = 96 miles = 1.75 hrs (call it 2 hrs ).

So, meet at Alford at what time? Or shall we leave that detail to nearer the weekend (you never know how much you'll like Aberdeen's night life )?

28 miles from the centre of Aberdeen to Alford.

The Convention starts @ 11 according to their web site, so the timing would be great (we could pop up to Raymo's place, as he lives in Alford, and steal some coffee & biscuits before the gates open).

I'll pm you my mobile number tomorrow - cant find my phone just now , and we can arrange an rv point in Alford on the day.

    Sound good to you?
