    South Wales

Ok so following a week in the lakes last week I am now back I South Wales over the next few days.... A couple of weeks ago I discovered the Swansea valley road to Brecon - fanastic road to ride. Anyway I am doing my walking up and down hills bit but would also welome an opportunity to ride out with any local folk who may be about.... (I don't charge too much ) I am staying north of Merthyr.

Edited to add: up to North Wales later in the week to do more mountainy things. Is there a guide to surviving the 'gog' police in N. Wales

    Re: South Wales

It was lovely on the tops today. I passed a black tranny this morning on the A470 near the Storey Arms, very distinctive as it had a flag sticker thing stuck on the screen I think it was of a pink newt on a green and white background. Miserable git didn't do the nodding helmet thing though....

Got off the hill and went for a ride on the 470 to Brecon, there must have been billions of bikes on that road today - well a few

That's great. I may be there - grey 700. If I am can I tag along for the ride?

I have just been informed that some cheeky git has parked a GS next to my bike outside the hotel - probably trying to gain some status by association

    Re: South Wales

Thanks to Twin Burner for an excellent run out to the Elan Valley, fanbloodytastic ride! For a bunch of folk who have a leek as a national emblem you certainly have some fantastic roads and scenery

Finished off the day with changing and running up Pen Y Fan and back. Quite amused me to come back to the bike as a sweaty heap and then open up the panniers to get dressed back up as a biker again. I think it amused the power rangers who were busily pulling on fags as I did so

Thanks again for your hospitality Twin Burner - top fella. I will post the piccie of your bike next week when I get home and can upload it.

Oh nearly forgot.... A bunch of folk were complaining at 'super bites' about some bikes chocking up the bridge today.....
