Found this today, fantastic mapping tool that shows OS and google earth parallel to each other. part of the new os opensource programs.

    Where's the path ?

    other opensource products are here:

Hi all. I'm Paul and I work in Ordnance Survey's communications team. We're very pleased to hear you like Where's the Path - its a very useful site. If you think you have a similar or even better idea that uses geography then you could enter it into the GeoVation Awards Programme and be in with a chance of winning £21K!

Anyway, if you're interested have a look: https://challenge.geovation.org.uk/

Thanks Paul, and welcome to the forum.

We do have over 8000 active members here, and many of them do like to take their bikes off-road (legally) on byways etc.

The opensource stuff is excellent, but many of us do still like the good old fashioned paper maps, and I was wondering whether Ordnance Survey would be able to offer site members any discounts or incentives at all??

    Regards

    Bob

    Hi Bob!

Thanks for the enthusiasm! I don't think I can offer anything special for members I'm afraid, but there is a tasty discount being offered right now on site centred personalised OS Select maps - 20% off! http://leisure.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/..._icmp=if5y7F8N
