Na then, I know its not camping, but I have stopped here for the last 3 years and will be there again this year, if you phone them, and talk to them ( English not a problem) you can get a better deal than the Tinternet price, well worth the extra bit of dosh

Its worth doing it once to do it, but on advice I would re-think this bit and spend the extra days in the Picos and ferry back from santander, unless you plan to go scenic route and take a couple (4) days. All do'able but be warned it is a loooooooooooooong way and can be boooooooooring if you plan to haul ass up motorways.

I've done it a few times the other way to Madrid in a one'er and it is ok but the novelty wears off if it rains in France! It took me 52 hours in torrential 30-40mph max rain (bouncing that hard you couldn't see anything!) from Darlington including ferries with a 3hr rest (coffee intravenous!)at friends on the border.

In that case you should try and hit the Sort region. Beautifull and often fiesta period locally so you may get lucky with party time! There is a 30 euro inc meal hotel in Rialp I think it is (few miles north of Sort. Hotel Victor. Tidy and clean and the food is ok and you get a glass of wine too.

Apparently it is holy year so the pilgrim route right through from france to the north west coast of spain may be well booked up so try and get in early.

Hi there is a large site near the circuit but it does turn into a bit of a dust bowl - so don't camp near the entrance like we did.......

There are a few other private campsites near Cheste but you will need the bike to get to the circuit. If you are going in November for the GP, daytime temps are mid 20's but it does get cold at night

I'd say camp at the circuit as they are bands & stuff on but Cheste is well worth a visit on an evening - it's mad

    Enjoy
