    Pan American, spares to carry?

    Hi all.

Well Im heading out From Ireland to Alaska in June and taking about 7 or 8 Months to reach Argentina.
Being planing it for a few years but getting down to the small details now.
What Im trying to find out is what spares, I DON'T NEED TO CARRY.
The Africa twin was not sold in the Americas, so is it possable to get the usually consumables there, as in break pads, sprockets, chain, leavers. tyres, oil filters, wheel bearings.
All of these I have in the garage but trying to keep the weight down.

So if anyone has done some of this trip in the last few years on a similar bike, it would be great to hear from you.

Will be riding one up on a 02 Africa twin xrv 750.

    Thanks
    Pat

Sprockets and chain and oil filter are used on other Honda models so they should be available. as for Pads and levers I would take some with me in case they are not available or Miles from where you are.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Everything you decide not to take, pack them individually then label them clearly and leave with someone reliable and easily contactable so If you do need them - they can be posted out to you.
