Me and the Missus have just had 3 weeks in Vietnam and while we were there we spent a little time doing the Ho Chi Minh trail utilising a local guide and his bikes.
we only did about 350 or so Km but it was the best few days riding I have ever done and it certainly has to be one of the friendliest and most beautiful places in the world..
Not only that - once you are there its so cheap

We will be back again at the end of this year or Jan next to spend more time on the trial.

You can buy "The Macallan" in most bars, the locals speak english (nearly), hospitality great, and rides to die for.
May have to plan for last minute trip as weather can be a problem - but then the bars have reasonable opening times!

Well then I have booked some sort of fishing trawler out the docks at Immingham at the end of June which will drop me off in the darkness at some cave entrance in Scandinavia

From there is the start of the 2010 Gravel Rash tour into the Arctic through Sweden,Norway, Finland up to the Russian border and back.

routed about 1000 miles of gravel tracks through the Forestry and over the mountains so should be all good for another EPIC solo trip

never though of hitching a lift on a trawler.. thats an adventure in its self!! what a great idea... have fun...

You do give Adventure riding a good name Chris. Thinking outside the box again!

Have the safest of trips, video what you can, then bore us all on your return with your normal high quality reports
