Thumbs up Salt & Gold DVD

Today I am off and really couldn't be bothered - had several weeks on the go so today was me time. I went over to Adventure-spec: off-road motorbike gear to order some bits for the Africa Twin and while there I was saying how the DVD Aim for the Horizon was great and I think everyone out there could relate to it.

Spotted the Salt & Gold DVD which is initially a strange title for a DVD - Dave Lomax of Adventure Spec took a team out across the desert to Timbuktu -
as I fancied an afternoon in chilling I watched it - wow I am knackered now.

I thought my Suzi DRZ was for some local lanes but it did amazingly.... For those of us who like the Orange Machine - there is one of those in there too.

Sadly no Africa Twin but I think it I had been on it with the AT I would have been buzzard meat on day two!

Can recommend the DVD highly great watch

I've been reading through the Pyndon thread on ADV (He's the guy on the KTM in the DVD), the guy's amazing.

If I end up being able to do even 10% of what he does to & with his bikes, I'll be a happy man!

    It's on my Christmas list!

    JB
'07 KTM 990 Adventure (Crash Bars, Scottoilter, 16t front sprocket, Throttle Cam. Colour: Black & Grey)
    '93 DR800 BIG (Fully farkled!)

    Gone but not forgotten:
'04 Tiger (MRA-Vario screen, Crash bars, K&N Airfilter, dual headlamp upgrade. Colour: orange, 'cause I'm Dutch, innit!)
    '93 ZZR600

I'm on the Safe House List! Garage and minor toolkit available...

Respect on the KTM - I think the DRZ / XR is the sensible option especially as I would have the record for having to pick it up all the time. Then again if you can ride like that then you don't need to pick it up so often.

The voice is Lyndon Poskit. He's the guy riding the KTM and is awsome on it. Don't forget to add an Aim For The Horizon dvd on the xmas list as well
