flat battery!

Tried to go to work this morning on it and the battery was dead. Half tried to turn over then just did that awful clicking thing. Anyone else have problems with the batteries on 955i tigers? Had to steal the wife's car and leave the tiger on the charge.

Re: flat battery!

Strange... I've left my tiger in the garage for, sometimes weeks, at a time, without problems (knock on wood).

Could it be your battery needs replacing?

Re: flat battery!

Ive been quite impressed with the battery on mine so far.....but the chap I bought it from said he had just replaced it and prior to that had to disconnect the spyball alarm as it had been draining it!

Re: flat battery!

My Tiger sits for a month at a time in the garage during winter and starts off the button every time.

I do know if they aren't 100% there's not enough voltage to the ECU and they run like dogs!

Sounds to me like either you have a serious drain on your battery (alarm) or it's knackered. Replace battery, problem solved. Bike batteries were not really designed for alarms, if I used one I'd hook the bike up to a charger regularly if sitting.

thats two dead batterys in Ireland ????

pixies??

seriously

as has been said on both threads.. new baterry then 12.5+ volts when ignition of.. 14.5ish when bike runnning.. all's well.

get a GPS!!

well a germin V or Street Pilot, cos if you put them into self test mode (hold the enter key then press on) , they display the voltage supplied
so when wired into the bike you can see all's well with the charging ciruit
neat eh.??

oh and I am fitting gel batteries to my bikes, the t500 batt cooked and spewed acid on the nice polished alloy swing arm.. not t0o nice now and I have a polishing job on the long list now

cheers

Ray

sory for the wandering

bottom line fit good batt.. check charging voltage
