Re: Tiger Exhausts
I take back everything I said earlier about not needing a race can. Here's why.
yesterday I was having a mardle with a Varadera rider who has had two or three Tigers. He asked if I'd had all the ECU updates. I said I hadn't a clue but when he described what a Tiger is like without them (e.g. lumpy and snatchy around 2,000 rpm) I reckoned mine hadn't had them.
Today I took it to the dealer and asked them to download the updates. They said it would take 15 minutes, so I wandered round the showroom.
A couple of minutes later the chap appeared.
"You do know you have the Triumph race can fitted, don't you?".
"Err, no I didn't." I replied. "It's whatever it had on it when I bought it from your other (Honda) dealership."
"You hadn't noticed the 'not for road use' stamped on it? Anyway, we've re-mapped it and it's ready to go."
I have to say, it absolutely flew home! Pick up from low revs was hugely improved. And it was only £16.
