    Tiger tyres

My 2005 Tiger is currently running on Michelein Anakees which have just about had it.

As I am unlikely to ever take the bike offroad on purpose, I am going to change to road tyres.

Is anybody else on road tyres and if so what do you recommend?

On another subject, what a great bike the 955 Tiger is.

    Re: Tiger tyres

I fitted Continental Trail Attack tyres to my Tiger when the Battlewings were done and I find them to be very good, even in the wet. I have done 6000 miles on them so far and there is still 3mm of tread left in the rear tyre, more on the front. The name Trail Attack seems to be a bit of a misnomer as they are just a slightly more chunky Road Attack tyre, the only off road work I do is a bit of pottering along forestry roads and you do not need an off road tyre for that.

And yes, the Tiger is a great bike, the silver ones being the best of course.

    Re: Tiger tyres

I'm currently running on continental road attacks, these are an out and out road tyre and the road holding seems brilliant, I was fortunate enough to buy the bike with them on I have done about 3000 miles on them and the previous owner said he'd done 2000 there's still loads of tread on them and I can't see me having to replace them for at least another couple of thousand unless squaring off becomes an issue

Oh and by the way the tigers are fantastic, but I'm afraid it's actually the orange ones that are fastest (anyway all tigers are orange aren't they)

I've got Metzler Tourances on mine now.

The Battleaxe I had on the back before lasted about 7,000 miles. The front one wasn't new when I bought the bike, so no idea how long it lasted.

    Re: Tiger tyres

I've got Metzeler Tourances on mine too... They have a habit of following tracks in the road a bit (the shiny strips of asphalt where they've patched the road and such).

This affects all Tourances (I've conducted a careful survey of 4). Other than that, brilliant tires, good in the rain too!

Just passed 9,000 miles and they could do with replacing soon.
