    Re: Diesel Tiger...?

If I remember rightly, the Enfield diesel develops a heady 17hp. Puts it firmly in the CG125 performance bracket I would think....

    Re: Diesel Tiger...?

Wasn't looking but stumbled on this and thought of this thread,
I dont what the general consensus will be but I like it being made by a Dutch engineer (he need a IT engineer though the vids dont seem to work)

    Re: Diesel Tiger...?

I had to download the vids to get them to play. Though it has to be said, they're not great.

You'd have to cover a lot of miles to recover the cost of the bike.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Re: Diesel Tiger...?

I think the main problem with the Diesel engine fitted to a bike is it has to be heavy to withstand the high compression this in turn requires a different gear ratio thereby reducing the top speed.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

if they could fit a diesel to somthing like a pan (that doesnt weave obviously) with a top speed say of 130mph - I would buy one!

    Re: Diesel Tiger...?

I know Zanx - the chap with the diesel bike, if he thought he could get a diesel tiger he would leap at the chance, mad as a box of frogs (good bloke though!)
When I grow up ..... yeah right!

Y'see, I could say "You can go fast, I can go anywhere, Africa Twin" But you buggers have 'em as well so it would sound pretty lame .... oops!

I suppose if he could have a guaranteed sell of 10,000 bikes that price would be halved, but it will remain a one off unless he gets a good military deal
