The most I've ever squeezed into mine was 23.49 litres, which I calculate is 5.17 gallons.

I find the fuel light comes on around 210 - 220 miles and I fill up soon after.

It wont be going off-road . just as a road bike for riding around. could have a speed triple 955i for the same money but no screen and / or luggage capacity puts me off.
A second bike no choice, speed triple everytime, I've had one much more grins per mile. It'll suit you, it's a real hooligans tool.

For me better handling and more fun to ride..

before people moan I've ridden both

Not sure how to take that Mike !!!. .

Again, the no luggage thing bother me (and how long I'll keep my license !) about the speed triple.

Mel, the @ are too much money for old bikes ( no offence intended) .

I'll know by tommorrow if an agreement can be reached with the guy..

Thanks DC and Jacques.biased but thanks.

    Keep you posted..

Read into it what you will

Depends how much you need to carry I suppose. Throwovers not too good because of the high level pipes. Big tail pack would work.

Licence should be ok, there's a lack of protection which would slow you down (slightly) but road holding there's no comparison

The other reason is you've got a trail/adventure bike, a Tiger is too similar for me, but that's just me.

Just checked the service manual, it quotes 23 litres -just under 5 gallons so your figures are probably correct (in real terms)

    Stan,

Get it, you won't regret it! It's a brilliant bike, loads of power, really comfortable at high speeds too. You might want to change the screen, as it can get a bit noisy.

When you service it, just be careful with the fuel couplings when you take the tank off
