    Well, crash bars are a good idea, at £500 for a tank well worth the money! I made mine based on the touratech ones, checked them out on t'internet, found some galvanized tubing and heat bent it and welded to shape! Mine are tried and tested, def saved the tank.

    Another boon for long distance touring was an idea from our American friends, cruiser pegs! I wasn't convinced at first but once I tried them there was no turning back! For motorway riding nothing beats it!

    I fitted Renthals as I wanted lower bars to take me down out of the wind, another good idea I reckon.

    I've also a "Rallye" headlight guard that I fabricated out of a shopping basket, again, to touratech spec! Looks the part, although small stones can still get through the gaps! Doh!

    Here's the end result;

    One of the first extras i got were crash bars as Weebro had a font blow out at 80mph and his crash bars saved his @ big time, even if the crash bars are only half the thinkness now, no joke! Oh and the vario screen as i am tall and the standard screen is crap. Wouldn't mind a rear hugger. How much and where from?

    Touring pegs? Any pics and details?

    Have a look at Triumph Online (www.triumph-online.co.uk) £109 for a new set of crash bars. I have the same.

    The guys from Poor Circulation had them on their Tigers when they rode around the world on 'em, and they dropped their bikes quite a few times...

    Can't recommende the MRA Vario screen enough, it's a massive improvement over the standard one.

    Everything else is down to personal taste. Did the dual headlamp upgrade and switched the bulbs to the newer, brighter, bulbs... Works fantastic... Only afraid I may need to take them out when taking the bike for an MOT...

    Gone but not forgotten:
    '04 Tiger (MRA-Vario screen, Crash bars, K&N Airfilter, dual headlamp upgrade. Colour: orange, 'cause I'm Dutch, innit!)
    '93 ZZR600

    Re: The List is Never Ending

    I don't see the thing with lowering the pegs on a bike that has ground clearance issues already? My pegs touch tar regularly, probably a couple of times each ride. I've lost the left hand blob twice now and the right one's almost out of ball! Surely lower pegs would make this worse? I don't think I'm a nutter, I just ride hard

    Crash bars are very over priced I reckon, that's why I made my own, not something anyone can do but if I can do it in a couple of hours I can't see why they cost so much from manufacturers?

    Best of luck to you folks, I'm planning a change this summer so will need to bling up something else! More new crashbars! Doh!
