North East to the National, anyone going?

I have recieved permission from the Management to go to the National.

Any members going from the North East, I'll be leaving on Friday morning for a steady trundle up to Ullapool. Anyone fancy some company for the ride? Alternatively we could met up with some southern members and travel as a large herd.

If the Weathers Good I will be going, will be setting off from York after work on Thursday night getting as far North as possible in 3 hours, then all day Friday to Ullapool, travelling back Monday.

I'm travelling up to Barnoldswick on wednesday evening and then from there at 7am Thursday morning along with Hudders, Wigan Chris and a few others..........Not much help I know

Change of plan for me, just got Thursday Off,

so will be travelling from work Wed night, all day Thursday and arriving Thursday night.

Setting off Sunday afternoon ( probably upto John O Groats ) if weathers good,

Then from there home ready for Work Tuesday Morning

I'm just north of you on the A1. I'm hoping to make this one (missed last years and would love to get back into scotland again before the weather changes), but I'm leaving for a trip to europe over the next few days all going to plan, so it'll depend whether I get back in time (should have already left by now but work and stuff keeps delaying me).

I'm going to be trying to make it back in time though it might depend when I leave. I'll keep an eye on this thread. Would be good to have a bit of company on the way up if I'm back in time.

I've got a gps that might have some of the roads that have been built in the last decade this year though, and I'm planning to buy a map that's bigger than a postage stamp too. Plus I haven't planned out a route so when I do inevitably get lost, I can pretend that I meant to go in that direction all along

I might be tagging along with a lad from another forum for part of the way if I can get my stuff together in time, so I should be OK at least until dover and france if I make sure he stays infront at all times - which shouldn't be too hard the speed I go

Just a quick update to let you know that i'm not going to be able to make the national (unless I end up having to cut my trip short for some reason but hoping that doesn't happen). Still in the UK and won't be leaving until tomorrow or wednesday now, so I don't think I'll be back in time unfortuantely.

Bit gutted I couldn't do both (particularly with this one being in the highlands), but I'll try to make the next one.
