Marquee

It's looking increasingly likely that I won't be able to hire a van to get the marquee up as work are messing about.
So I've taken Lowflyer up on his offer of getting the marquee up there so at least even if I'm late up there you guys can get it put up and be using it.

However a few questions...... presumably it would need to be stored before it gets put up and before it gets carted away again. So can someone check with the campsite to see if they have some shed or under cover place where it can be stored and are ok to do this.

Also can I have someone that I can send instructions on to that can take responsibility for putting up the marquee if I don't get up there in time. It takes around 3 people realistically to put and take down and takes about 2 hours.

And lastly on the Sunday I need to be away sharp'ish as I have to be back at work the next day, so I won't be able to hang around to take it down either!! Do we have a group of locals that could take it down on the Sunday to enable me to get off?

Realise that this is all of a big ask.

I will be at Ullapool on Weds, so would be happy to put the marquee up - I put it up at Dartmoor but instructions would be helpful.

Too early to say when I'll get to Ullapool due to home commitments but it may well be Wednesday or Thursday (especially if others will be arriving early and the weather looks good)

I should also be able to hang around a bit later on the Sunday. What are the plans for getting it back down south?

I am scheduled to be in Ullapool Wednesday PM and will be available to put up the marquee. Taking down on Sunday should be much easier as there will be lots of peoples to help.

And second thoughts, please send me a copy of the marquee putting up instructions also.

Panic not young man !!

The marqee can be dropped of at my house anytime and I can arrange to get it to Ullapool, to be met by thousands of budding marquee erectors
Getting it back down the road will be the same ---- but in reverse

As an aside, I am looking into the possibility of borrowing one from work, think they have one for Highland shows etc. Africa Jim is also looking into this, might save a lot of hassle

Well hurrah !!!!

Managed to get a loan of a Marquee ( courtesy of work ) and will probably manage to blag a petrol silent generator, along with light stands.
I will take it up to Ullapool on the Thursday night if someone can give me hand to put it up.

if someone is staying on the Thursady night, that would be good, save the genny getting nicked

I need to get the T-shirts delivered direct to the site. I can email them and ask if that is OK but if one of you guys who has been in touch and booked things can check, please do. I'll need the proper postal address.

Also, there was some discussion earlier about electric hook-up. Are we supposed to be near enough to an electric hook up point to use it? I have a lead but I'll need power at least for Friday morning's work.

Looks like we're sorted.

Steve has managed to get power to the marquee, so I will take up leads and lights.

I'll make up a 240v pin to plug adaptor as well.
