Re: please,please,please......
Erm.....you`re slightly akimbo there mate. That`s not a wartime combo and those aren`t German soldiers That photo is a 'still' from a Ural Soviet military film and the combo did indeed 'get air' as shown in the photo. |

And this isn't the still.
(It gets exciting at 2 minutes in)

Re: please,please,please......
I got out of first gear...once... on my off-roading. Does that count?
I needed reverse more often to get me out of the pine trees... Tarka is right: road tyres are surprisingly good. However, I have used the 2WD: the bike got stuck straight away without. No doubt my technique needs addressing! May not look it in my pics, but the sand was quite deep and the troughs, quite steep! PS. I'm going to buy a medieval rack for my monkeys (sidecar passengers) as the bumps probably leave them about 7% shorter after the ride...

Re: please,please,please......
Not mine, I hasten to add, but I had one of these as my very first scrambler when I was eight.
Only a mere 30 years ago and I can still remember the smell of castrol while my dad was teaching me to ride the thing. Top memories. I'll have a dig around pops photos and scan a piccie of mine in. |
