Re: Oi, tarka!!!

Yup...I went to the Ural factory in Irbit then attended the Irbit Motorcycle Show at the weekend.

Got a brand new Gear Up combo from the factory and spent six days mostly off roading and rough camping in the Ural/Siberia region, including riding to the Europe/Asia line.

I`ve got a few photos.....488 in fact...and am compiling a Ride Report for Tinternet....but have been on mega overtime (50 hours OT) and finish at 6pm today so it won`t be done for a day or so.

I`ll tell ya when it`s done

Hiya mate

You can get Dnepr spares in UK from Mick at MPC Ural....maybe David Angel at F2 Motorcycles too but I think MPC is more likely.

Now a word of warning.....IF it is an MT11 model Dnepr, they had a cast iron crank well known for failing and you almost certainly won`t get a replacement.
And that one won`t turn over, the guy said.............
You could fit an MT9 engine with a forged crank but unless you know your onions with these bikes you`re in danger of falling into a very expensive and frustrating money trap .

My advice is to buy a running one or even better stay away from Dneprs and buy Ural.

The wise one speaks and i shall obey.

I looked at the MPC site and they have a solo in there that looks quite nice, might go on their combo training day.

Always ready to try something new. Thanks for the advice..
