ok, been toying with a project at the end of 2009 - a way off I know.....

How difficult is it to get hold of a left side chair from a ural? and what sort of price would I be looking at?

All post 1986 sidecars in the UK have had to be left hand side so you`ll find one.

Cost is a different matter as the days of anything Ural being cheap are well over.

A brand new complete Ural sidecar...body/chassis/suspension,etc is about £1000 - £1200.

Secondhand it`ll be whatever you`re lucky enough to get it for.


Try MPC Ural near Lutterworth....Mick has some sidecar assemblies in stock.

Say I mentioned him.


By the way,what are you dreaming about doing ??

It`s usually cheaper and far less hassle/pain to just buy a complete combo.

I saw a great Miltary spec/style Ural L/H outfit on Gumtree yesterday.It actually had the old temptation buds going,but I would imagine they take a bit of dedication ? Have a look for yourself .

The military equipped ones are the Gear Up model.


If a Gear Up is a left hand sidecar it`s only really a military STYLED one because the only TRULY military SPEC Gear Ups are right hand sidecar models with two wheel drive.
