    handlebar update

Some of you may know that i've been looking for a new set of handlebars for the vara.
After much looking, mainly renthals. I've decide on a set of AT bars (which i got from Taz, cheers mate). Much cheaper than renthals with about the same rise as a set of Dakar High Bars, ok so they wont be as strong as renthals, but then again i now have a spare set of OE bars.

Newly painted silver and much wider than the OE's they make the vara look and handle better. Added to the recently dropped forks (5mm) with 15w oil and compression spacers, the vara now steers much quicker with less effort.
Of course there is a downside, cant get the steering lock on as the mirror arm hits the screen!!
    more work to do...........

Ah, so, my old bars went to a Vara, aye? Glad to get rid of 'em. I could never stand gold bars on a red, white & blue bike. My @ looked a lot better once the metallic blue Renthals were fitted.
