Rob, the Vara is now looking serious !!! it looks good you are now ready for some seriois touring. I am still liking mine very much, but i prefer even more my old RD04 Africa Twin. NOt as powerful and not as comfy but lots more character and much better in traffic. I find the Varadero poor here you have very little "feel" with the Afica you can feel exactly what is going on all the time, but i like the Varadero as well

and its in the only colour a vara should be in the case of the vara the black ones really are the fastest
