£20 / .83 = 24.09639 litres.
200 miles / 24.09639 litres = 8.3 miles per litre x 4.54609 (litre to gallon conversion) =

37.73254 mpg!

As an interesting (yawn) aside, the above numbers make the price per litre the same as the mileage per litre. I think it's some kind of correlation between the pounds and the mileage. God - work must be dull today!

Last Para was wrong ... the observant amongst you will of course note that the mileage per litre is 10 times the litres fuelled.

My fuel light came on today at 219 miles. I put in 20.81 litres, but my very limited number skills, that makes it 47.40 mpg. Am I correct?

I made up for this after I filled up by hammering down to Eastbourne then went over the top of Beachy Head and stopped for a look over the cliff (not advisable if you suffer from vertigo) then followed the road through Seaford and New Haven and then cut up the A275 to Haywards Heath. A fantastic ride, made more so by the fact that I left at 6.50am! Believe me, it is worth it when you can ride how you want and not have to be trying to get past four wheeled road blocks every few minutes.

Mines the carby model cost about £20 to fill up once the lights been on and running around it will do 185miles minimum until lights on. Thats around the town ect.

I'm riding around at he mo with spare fuelcanister in my topbox to see how far i get.Sitting on 173 miles at the mo and no lights on yet .How big is the reserve tank on these things?? And would be realy a good idea to see how far i can go on reserve? I mean with all the cr.. at the bottom of the tank?

Got 231 miles before the light came on this morning. Rode the remaining 31 miles to work without filling up, as had little faith in my cashpoint card.

Oh, and I think that the light comes on when you reach breakdown minus 4 litres.
