There is a fine line between numerator and denominator.

"Let's ride motorcycles!"
Ok so the light came on yesterday at 198 miles, when i filled her up she done 202 miles and i put in 20.56 litres for £19.10
i leave that for you guys to work out but i am happy with that![]()
So with reserve and all i recon 220-230 miles
Mine usually splutters to reserve at around 220-230 miles, but then she never ever reaches 90mph... or 80... seldom 70 for that matter... but then it only costs £13 fill-to-spill... bless the baby Vara and her 70+mpg
When I eventually upgrade to the big'un, the fuel economy is the thing I dread most!
Thats quite impressive!
I've decided my Thirsty beast (the bike that is) is partially my own fault, and partially due to my sticky choke/fast idle problem - hopefully to be sorted next weeked.
Last weekend on the Hastings run convoy, riding at a far more refined pace than I usually do when I'm on my own, I got an extra 20 miles out of the tank - even then though, my fuel light came on at 188, normally its on at around the 170 mark. But then I do rather tend to rag it around the place.
Further testing after a carb/choke lube up, new airfilter and new idle adjuster required. Fabulous excuse for a long days ride out somewhere![]()
ragging mine the best ive got to the fuel light...is 210 miles![]()
mild ragging see 238 miles
taking it easy sees aprox 250 miles how it does this is beyond me .. but i bet its going to be a bit different now the new cans are on![]()
