Oxford Hot Grips ; No 1

Fitted these over the weekend. Bilmey! They are hot. Suppose have to see what they're like mid-winter.

The downside is the warning light on the switch is really dim. I've wired it across the battery so the grips could stay on accidentally.

The instructions say the grips work best at 13V and over. If I wire it into a live wire surely this is going to give them 12V max?

Anyone done this. Are they still nice and hot?

Under normal use your generator/regultor/rectifier is producing around 13 - 14 volts. The 12-volt battery is a nominal figure. (If you need to calculate ampage for fuses etc. it's best to allow for the higher voltage as it will increase the amps too.)
