    Continental Escapes

Just been out today for another 120 miles, and i notice that my rear original Michelin T66 is about shot it will do 10,000 miles. I am keem to try a Continental Escape primarily becuase being tight Busters are doing these for £56.99 and if is use the discount code VARADERO10 you get another 10% discount on anything you buy from Busters. So £51.29 for a rear tyre is pretty damn good. Now the Africa Boys rave about the Continental TKC,s so i am thinking that these escapes should also be pretty good. Anybody used them? How long do they last?

    Re: Continental Escapes

I had a pair of Escapes on my AT and had no thoughts either way! Nothing outstanding, good grip wet or dry, no more noise, reasonable longevity, you know a competent tyre!

However they were very reasonably priced and for that reason I would recommend them.

    Re: Continental Escapes

I had escapes on my RD04 and I loved them - found them great for the AT - interested to see how they'd do on a vara.

    Re: Continental Escapes

When trying to order Conti Escapes last week my dealer had to contact Continental as they weren't listed on the computer. He says their response is that Conti Escapes aren't made any more. Which is strange because they are listed on the Continental web site (at the time of writing)!

    Thumbs up Re: Continental Escapes

maybe why they are going cheap at busters?

perfectly good tyres get discontinued all the time, the machinery is needed for another type, sales have dropped off etc.
if the escape is anything near as good as the road attack then for what its worth i thought they were great on my 955 triumph and i will def go for them when my varadero needs re-shoeing, or the new trail attack if i can be bothered to keep up the block tread style. they are essentially the same tyre. lasted for ages

    Re: Continental Escapes

Forget about the Escape, they are not in production any more but delivered from stock. Just go for the Continental Trail Attack, this tyre is amazing! Long live span and good grip under almost every condition. I was a real Michelin admirer, but the Trail Attack changed my way of riding the big V!
