No Vara for me,,,, yet!

Well, I spoke to Hunts regarding one of the tricolour Vara's they've got in but the trade in offer was way too sour for me!

They offered me £400 below bottom book for my minted Tiger coz it's high mileage? 17,000 dry miles doesn't seem rediculous to me?

So, no Vara for me for now, I'll just have to stick to my Tiger and buy a new petrol sender unit! Ho hum!

why dont you sell the tigger privately and go in with a wedge of cash in your pocket and then screw the buggers down

Not a bad idea Chad, I might go down that road eventually. My Blade's not ready for the road yet but should be by the end of the month, just a new battery and a couple of fairing panels to refit so I could road it and sell off the Tiger. I wouldn't like to be bikeless after waiting all winter to get back on the road! I've already sold my CB 750.

It would have been more painless to just P/X and ride away. Also long way to Manchester from here for them to play me off haggling, approx six hrs each way from here and £60 of petrol and they'll know it! The salesman wasn't interested in haggling on the trade in, just told me the figure and that was it. You certainly won't find a minted 04 Tiger with all extras for £3300, I thought it was an insult!

Never mind, I'm a patient man,,,,, ish!

haggiling with cash dont work to well up in scotland as thay dont like cash in the dealers costs them 60p for every £100 to bank it thay want cheque and neer to asking price local dealer in edinburgh let me walk away for the price 6 months road tax on a £4500 bike

I'm in no hurry really, just took a bee in my bonnet when I saw the tricolour Vara.

Also the Tiger needs a few bits so seemed easier to dump it! I'll just have to bite the bullet and pay out the money. Chain and sprockets are shot, £99, sender unit for fuel tank, £90, new tyres, £165, damn I hate spending money!

Oh well,,,,, that's life!

Put the fairing panels back on to the Blade today so just a few things to do for the test. Don't suppose anyone out there wants a 97 Urban Tiger?
