    Brittany tour

Just come back from 9 days touring around SE Brittany on my new bike.
I had done 700 miles before I went and now have around 2300 on the clock, and it never missed a beat!!

The weather was not too bad. I did get a few good soakings but it was mainly dry and overcast. The temperature was ok.

The differences I notice to my previous AT were the usual that have been mentioned before by several people here.
    • More refined bike
    • More power
    • More comfort
    • Easier to ride etc etc
Fuel consumption was great. Better that expected for a bike only just run in. Between 220 and 230 miles before the warning light came on!

Overall very very pleased with the bike. (Hopefully there is a picture below).

Glad you had a good time. That river looks swollen!

Glad you enjoyed the trip, I'm of to Millau in September, I just fancy riding over that bridge.

Did you take out breakdown cover BTW?

DDY.... Yes the river was swollen at about a metre above its normal level. We spent some time down in the Loire Valley and that is actually the Loire River, although there are others that pass through the valley as well.

Dadavaro.... Yes I did take out breakdown cover. Got it from the RAC. Cost about £40. I did not need it but it is good to have the peace of mind.

It's a stunning bridge alright...unfortunately the height of the barrier means you can't really see much while you're riding over it! Great views to be had from either side though and the old road down into the valley (and up the other side) is not to be missed either.

Won't be going this year, decided to do it next year, as I'm running out of holiday.

Decided to go to Corwall in September, as I did O'Groats on the Vara in June, thought I'de better do Lands End this year as well.

    Re: Brittany tour

Hey Chad.... Good idea. I do have a bit of a shopping list :-

    Centre stand
    Touring screen
    Crash bars

    Probably in that order.
I must admit the crash bars look pretty good on the Varadaro.
Hope fully have the stand and screen before the National in September. I will have a look at some of the crash bars on the other bikes then.
