Too expensive for an import with no luggage.
I have seen Mk1 Varadero's - carb version go for £2500.00 with luggage.
The Mk1 is a very nice bike offering exceptional value for money. If it has been services, mileage is almost irrelevant.
Ow I'm startin to go off you lot![]()
In my opinion and looking at it as a buyer the following stands out:Good luck.
- The Vara having km clocks won't help.
- Don't leave remarks at other buyers like you have at the bottom of the page in red.
- The photos could be better, most of the bike is in shade. The one next to the @ is distracting. Move the bike about to get the best pictures, if need be lighten the pictures in photo editer but don't over do it.
- If you can remove the foot board without too much do so again it's distracting and raises questions. Refit afterwards so can continue to use it.
- You may have lost the service history but I assume you still had the bike serviced at 4000 and 8000 miles so state what was done on those services. If you change the oil more often than required let the buyers know.
- Include key words such as Honda reliability, Comfort, Superior road view, Safety i.e. combined braking.
- You don't have to justify why you are selling the bike so don't mention your leg.
- If you respond to questions, tick the box on ebay that publishers the question and your answer and be professional no matter how stupid the question.
- Try and wait until not many other of the same machine are ebay so that it increases your chances.

1 totally agree but it was imported brand spanking new never registered oversea's should have said.
2 The guys in red a spammers wanted me to take part in something in america.
3 photo's are crap aint they.
4 Footboard good point it will put people off!
5 Nope service my own bikes always have dealers have a tendancy to mess things up and not tell you!
6 Not justifying just giving an honest reason like to be honest me
7 Some of the questions were really stupid!
8 True ebay sucks to sell stuff might go with the trader.
Well that was a good reply my conclusion is I am a crap salesman so back to being a gigolo![]()
As a guide, I paid £3k for mine last year...from a dealer.
Similar package to yours, crashbars, tall screen, tank cover, hugger, similar mileage & very very clean.
As has been said, they go for a lot less than that these days, Shep picked his up for something silly, under £2.5k I think and that's a minter too.
Admit it you lot are just trying to keep the honda numbers up
Truth is if I had a choice I would keep the pair of em new leg monday though see what happens.
Mine is a 2000 model, but only 4700 miles when i bought it a real mint bike allways garaged, still on original tyres. Full givi luggage, centre stand, Fenda Extenda and i paid £2300 as lazyrider said they are simply tremendous value for money
