Does the vara need both cans or can i bin one off by capping the pipe?

want to use the space for storage!

will this affect the running?

Try holding a hand over one and you'll soon find out! The standard system needs both, mate. It's possible there's an after-market system that has only one muffler, but if so I'd be interested to know how it performs.

Aint so simple as chopping one pipe off.

You still got to move the same amount of hot gas, so the one pipe from the collector box would obviously have to be a bigger diameter with can to match.

Seems a shame to bin the the nice custom cans you have now.

very true airwolf - but i was thinking that if the end can is less restrictive it is in effect flowing more gas - so would a wider pipe be necessary!
