Re: Givi screen or MRA screen with winglet ?

I am just over 6" tall and find the noise from the standard screen terrible, even with ear plugs!

So have ordered the MRA vario screen 2003>

They had smoked in stock so i have ordered that. They told me that they also do clear but i would have to wait. What have most people gone for on here? Can you see much of a problem with the smoked?

Cheers!

Smoked on mine no probs. Can take a bit of setting up to find your own height. I have mine on high setting with spoiler 4th click, visor up at 80 no probs, also I got almost no bug splat on my visor.

Just depends on how 'smoke' it is?

Do you have a good eyesight?

Mine is light smoked and I have no problem with it but if you are used to clear and the screen is on high setting, it takes sometime to get used to!

What colour is your boike ?

I reckon smoke screen looks good on black and if yours is silver then go for clear.

Re: Givi screen or MRA screen with winglet ?

try getting up to 80/90mph on a straight bit of road then stand up straight. (if you can hold on, its hard on the wrists!) you will be amazed at how quiet it is up there, no noise and no buffeting. you can hear the engine and the tyres on the road even.
people who say they have a noisy helmet usually mean they really have a crap screen, and just getting a taller/wider screen is not nesse...neca... always the right answer. have a read of the threads on here about screens, some even do away with a screen completely or cut it down.

Guys

I'm 6'3" and have just done 2500miles in 10 days with the Skidmarx screen (I reckon it is about 5" taller) It has no fancy 'winglets' or the like but it did a good job and it is only £55!

Get a decent kidney belt, it makes the world of difference, I never ride without one, since using it on a Maroc trip 6 years ago, excellent piece of kit.

I've had a couple from Hien Gericke; However current belt and probably the best cost £3 from Lidle, along with my tank bag @ £12 the best deal around.

I have been considering a back protector and kidney belt combined; again HG do a good one, if abit pricey.

Regards
