    Re: Honda Fitted Heated Grips

This is my first bike with heated grips so i have no yardstick to measure them by. My Vara is new with heated grips fitted and I think they are amazing, I cant have them on full as they are too hot through my gloves! I saw a post about them flashing on and off when the brakes and full beam are used, mine only flash on and off (very fast) when the bike is in neutral.

Honda charges £5 for replacements!

    Help or advice plz?

hi neil, ive got massive bar weights on my varadero so it wouldnt be a problem, perhaps you can get something similar for yours?

I'm sure you're supposed to have bar end weights. Get onto the dealer and demand they provide the proper things! (Nicely, of course!)

    Hi Dave,

I think his bike is a 650 ALP which does not have bar ends in standard. There are 2 plastic end caps to cover the open ends in the kit

Thanks guys, have stuck em on good now, will badger honda dealer for a proper fix soon, but decent glue should be ok for a while.

I doubt the dealer would come up anything better glue but still worth a try.

    Re: Honda Fitted Heated Grips

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations on the best heated grips to use on a '57 varadero 125, i was thinking of getting the oe Honda grips fitted on the upcoming 5000k service, are they any good/worth the money, my digits are getting chilly, also are hetaed gloves any good, they look like they could be a bit of a fiddle plugging them in every time?

The Honda ones are pretty damn good and reliable too. Heated grips will only keep the palm of hands warm, the backs of your hands will still get cold. Make sure you have some good gloves or better still mitts and inner gloves. Hand guards protect your hands from the cold wind blast as well as from an accident.

    Re: Honda Fitted Heated Grips

i thought the honda grips came pre-wired and plugged straight into the harness/accessory harness, so how can they be only half wired up? crazy talk.

in the end i went for those symtec heaters, very good if fiddly to fit, have a look at my speil in the product rating bit on bike tech
