    SW Motech central stand

I've got one. Came today. I've got Vara 07, but on the pack of stand is writen, from 03 - on. As I know, Honda changed some things on Vara 07, I'm afraid, it won't fit (thou importer says, it will...) Any experiences?
    TIA

I have a Motech stand on my 07 Vara - came with the bike, unfitted. Its an easy fit, once you work out how it goes on and I even managed to get the springs on using just pliers. I would have a go at fitting it - you only have to undo two bolts, which are replaced by the long one in with the side stand kit, you will soon know if it isn't going fit.

Mine runs very close to the chain but so far seems OK.

It was an easy fit, indeed, but.... I went to honda workshop. I couldnt undo...hmmm.. unscrew..?.. the engine bolt. I tried, but it was to tied and I was afraid to break something. I even start thinking, if it could be the right ehhh... screw... wind...? .. the bolt wich goes in and out in oposite directions
So, the mechanic unscrew the engine bolt, the rest was easy, but he done it and it costs me 20€. For 2o min. And thats f.. expensive here. Now i'm going for new Anakees. The old bridgestones (7000km) won't last another 4000km, fully loaded, two on, of Corsica. (7th May)

Yes, I remember now, the right hand side engine mounting bolt was very tight, I had to use a big extension bar on my ratchet to undo. If your mechanic didn't grease it all up when he fitted I would take apart now and put Copperslip grease on the threads and normal grease on the pivot. In the UK our salty winter roads would soon see it all seized up. In the UK 20euro (about £15) would be about right for Honda mechanics.
