    Accessorising advice required please

Okay I've had my tricolour VD for a few weeks now and put 1k on the clock and all is well with the world

Time to start adding a few choice accessories.

Front fender extender is on the way from eBay
MRA Touring Vario screen is on the way from HPS

Honda have slipped the date on an oem main stand so I'm getting a refund and I'm torn between an oem stand from David Silver or go for a SW Motech from Bykebitz, and since I'm thinking of getting SW Motech crash bars I think this may be the way to go

    Any thoughts for an XL1000VA6?

I dun know what extras you have already but I would suggest:

    1. GIVI Crash bars
    2. Honda OE stand, I wouldnt choose aftermarkets stands if OE is available
    3. Heated grips
    4. GS 1150 handguards, if you dunno like the honda ones
    5. power socket

I actually have a set of givi bars for sale if u like let me know.

Honda mainstand, over engineered = never need to worry
Givi bars tested by a few and always praised

May cost a bit more but they're worth it.

Do you have any pics of the bars?

Got the heated grips - faster and hotter than the oem ones on my previous 1150GS

Honda handguards are okay for now.
Had an aux power socket fitted as part of the deal. Doesn't work so going back to get it sorted out soon.

My scottoiler is fine so far. I haven't got any excess over the back of the bike, it's just the rear sprocket that's a bit gungy and the chain looks fine.

Which hugger have you gone for?

    Re: Accessorising advice required please

Just to update I've taken a few photos, so here goes

Right hand side uses the fittings for brake lines front and back

Left hand side uses chain guard fittings

Wheel out and it was an easy fit.

Tip...secure the chain guard side first and adjust to centralise with the brake line bolts (by sliding the right hand side forward and backward the whole unit twists so you can secure it evenly spaced.
