    Lost in a space... Help

    Hi Guys,

Just undid my Zumo's Ram mount thumb screw, and it's dropped somewhere in the bike.

It was mounted on the handle bars.

So far I've taken off the left faring, under cowl, inner cowl, under cover and the bit of plastic below the bars behind the head lights. Nothing???

I've lifted the tank a few inches, but can't see under the tank.

    Any ideas greatly received.

    Regards
    Chris......

P.S. Yes I've checked the floor.....

i wish i could tell you mate - the number of times i have dropped stuff into the innards of the bike and lost them!

the best idea is to shake it or remove all of the plastics and get a torch in there because even with the plastics off it's dark in there!

there isn't too much in front of the tank but try looking up from behind the front wheel - that may give you a better idea of where t may have caught - do this before taking off the plastics!

    good luck

    Z

sump guard? on top of a loom? wedged in a crevice somewhere?
it could be anywhere mate, if you cant find it after half an hour i'd give up and get a new screw. as long as it doesnt jam the steering or whatever. (then again, if it did, you'd know where it was!)

    Woo Hoo found it.....

Between the frame and the tank.. Found it after lifting the front of the tank....

Well at least I now know how to remove all the panels and empty the fuel tank.

What a joyous evening of fun.

Tommorow, re-fit all the panels and re-fill the tank.

    Thanks guys for your tips.

    Regards Chris.

Glad you found it, I am not looking forward to taking my plastics off to restock my tool box On the bright side all the bits down there should help lower the CoG

I am convinced there is a black hole down there and at times it's the only thing keeping the bike upright while I push it around the car park
