How many of our members have dropped their Deros? be honest!

After reading a post on here today, I remember asking this topic in the International and UK forum a few months back, but not sure about here. Anyway, here we go!

I almost had a off when leaving a garage, bloody diesel!! But manage to keep it upright. That was reli scary!

I saw my friend dropped his during a slow speed response training..

The givi bar is a little marked but saved a lot of plastics but his dero still suffers from:
    - a scratched handguards,
    - marks on mirror,
    - slight bented brake pedal,
    - footpeg hanger plate slight bent at the back tip,
    - some scratches on both driver and pillion footpegs &
    - a few dents on the rear indicator casing.

For those who had a drop, what are the damages?

    thanks for now
    Lun

Yep!!! got to hold my hands up, 5km in frost and this happend!! must get some crash bars. I think the damage was made worse by the plastic being brittle with the cold

    Phil,

Get them on asap. If the radiator is damaged, you wont like the bill!

Did you repair the plastics or buy new ones?

Yep me too on at least 3 occasions Most recently parked the bike put a disc lock on. Forgot to remove it and rode off - managed to hold the bike up on my left leg whilst a passer by helped pull the bike upright....

    Needless to say that
a). My leg hurt a bit afterwards
b). Passer by remarked at how heavy the bike was....

    I'm going on a trip!

    Not yet!!!
(Will probably regret saying that on the ride home! Must get around to buying those crash bars sometime.)

Once parked a VFR800 on the sloping drive and while opening the garage watched it gracefully topple over and slide down the tarmac. Nice.

It would've been £1000 in new bits but a £150 bodge and calling in some favours sorted it.
