    Fixed blowing exhust

Hi, Fixed blowing exhaust this morning,

It was the back down pipe to collector box joint on a 04 varedero,

I was told I had to remove compleat system to do the job,

But I did it by just removing rear down pipe and managed to fit new sealing ring and exhust port gasget,

Hardest part was opening out end of collector to accept sealing ring, I used different size sockets untill I could get a 32mm socket to drop in , after that it was quite easy,

Hope this help any one ells with this common problem,

Bike sound nice now with no poping and banging from exhaust system,

    Ian.

Well done. I've never heard of anyone being able to do it that way.

    Re: Fixed blowing exhust

Hi, Following on from my last post,

When I replaced the sealing/packing peice I fitted a new clamp,
    Honda wanted £20 + the bolt ,
My local bike shop had some stainless steel ones £3.70 and a lot better than the Honda part,

    Ian
