old vara new vara chain and sprockets

Hi guys , Ive just sold my 01 varadero 1000, and Im hopefully going buying a 07 or 06 model, I bought chain and sprockets to suit the old vara that I never fitted , will they fit the new bike or will I let them go with the old bike. cheers
