Private purchase help please...

Would it be feasable to own a 2006 Varadero 1000 for the sum of £4000 I have been offered one privatley on a 56 plate with 7000 miles on the clock 2 owners in red and blue colour scheme and it is in very nice condition with 2 stamps in the service book, but may need a rear tyre very soon...is this a fair price?

Drive the price down a bit - offer £3500. In this climate its a buyers market and I'd want a bike to have all the bells and whistles. See parkers guide...

C J Ball Honda Motorcycles were doing a brand new varadero on the road last month for £5750.........might be worth checking if that offer is still on

Thanks for that info even out local Honda Stea....Dealer has a 08 1500 mile one at £5850! ....but even so I just aint got that much to spend. I will keep my eye on Ebay and AutoTrader, Thanks

You would think it would be a buyers market but it doesn't seem to be working that way. Bikes seem to be selling for thier normal value so that doesn't sound too bad. Still try and chop him down a bit though

I'm going dizzy looking ...as an experiment I was on the Auto trader web site and I had a look how many bikes were listed for sale, the figure was about 17,000 of which only 1000 were private sales. It was even worse on MCN. These sites are really catering for the dealers who want extortionate amounts of money for there Tat. I flatly refuse to part with my hard earned cash to give to a dealer so if anyone sees a classified ad in a local paper for a nice Vara give us a shout!

Yeah i wont pay a dealer either....i got mine from mcn,private 05 and 870 miles on the clock £2900...im still larfin hahahaha....but i digress...they are out there ya just got to be patient.Always the way,when ya looking there are none and when ya not there are loads...i will let ya know if i see one
