    Light question

The Vara's lights come on automatically. Is there a switch to turn them off completely?

The reason I ask is that I want to take it on the track and as the Vara is currently in storage I can't check.

They ill most probably be operated by the ignition.
If that is the case there is no switch.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Re: Light question

I had a switch fitted to my blackbird by the mechanics at the police garage, had to sign a disclaimer though to say if something happened and the lights weren't on it wasn't his fault!

I know that the latest bmw's though have proved really difficult to bypass the light switch and that the electronic wizardry that works everything is getting more complex every year, odd bits and pieces work off same relays etc, ecu's stop you bodging around with electrics.

Have you tried taking the fuse out ? Never know, there might be an easy solution.

If it is anything like the TA then the lights share the Starter fuse as the starter button is wired FREE = Bat to HeadLights and PUSH = Bat to Start.

    Re: Light question

I guess the solution is to tape over the light or remove the bulb

    Re: Light question

Mine has a switch fitted by the previous owner, I believe to reduce the battery load till the engine runs but I never bothered to trace how it's wired, not able to do that just now either as I'm overseas.

Don't they make you tape over glass lenses on track days anyway? Used to have to do that for cars but that was for proper racing.
