    Exhaust finish

I have just bought a replacement exhaust system on e-bay and the seller has thoughtfully given it a good going over with a wire brush, taking it right back to the bare metal. I really liked the bronze coloured finish of the originals. Is there a way to restore this finish?

original exhausts are silver coloured (stainless), don't know why they would be bronze coloured

Stainless when really heated usually turns a nice bronzey colour.

    Thumbs up Re: Exhaust finish

Yeah the exhaust system on mine has turned largely bronze. Maybe yours will revert simply through regular use?

I take it we're talking about the link pipes here and not the cans?

Cheers everyone. Can I assume that the link pipes (that is what I've bought) are made of stainless steel and will probably take on a nice bronzy look after time?
