    Re: Vara advise

Looks OK to me. It is a bit filthy and that could be hiding a multitude of sins but without better photos its hard to say. If it were me and if possible I would go and have a look (or even ask here if someone here could do it for you if its too far). If it has a FSH and a genuine 16K miles there shouldn't be much wrong anyway.

The description seems honest enough so I would give him a call and ask how much he is really looking for it and then decide if you wish to go further and see it or at least get some high res close up photos of the bike.

    have a look

    I paid €6000 for 2003 with H&B luggage and 18000km

if you look check underneath for salt damage and corrosion around the break callipers, pitting on the forks and rear shock, by the look of it the racks are pretty rusty the luggage has been on for while and rubbed the paint off and been attacked by winter crud, the racks can be taken off cleaned up and painted for next to zero.

follow your gut feeling if its not right walk away

    Re: Vara advise

Looks very nice. A bit puzzled why there are no clear photos of the left-hand side!

The write-up seems honest enough, but the registered owner's address in Darlington but "come see it in London... here's my mobile number" would make me uneasy.
