I have wound up the preload a bit when I first got the bike I think I will try a little bit more for the trip round Ireland

Yes there was a write up in Ride mag back last year and one of the good mods they mentioned as a cheapish handling mod but effective was £80 hagon springs for the front

what's one them and how do I do it

The Efi is controlled by a mini on-board computer. It has a "map" which dictates how much fuel is injected depending on a number of factors (e.g. speed, throttle position, engine temperature).

If anything has been changed (the can, for example), it could ruin the computer's calculations.

A Honda dealer should be able to check whether your computer has the right map for the set up of the bike and is the most up-to-date one.

My Tiger was transformed when the map was updated to relfect the race can someone had fitted.

(Warning: all of the above applies to the Tiger and may be complete rubbish for the Varadero!)
