    Re: Hot Seat...

Now here's a weird thing - I rode a 1050 Tiger for about an hour last year on a test ride, and one of the lasting impressions was how sweaty the seat was. I don't notice it as such on the Vara, although I do a lot of commute riding, which is early (7:30am) and later on (6:00pm) in the day, so I guess I miss a lot of the warmth of a hot day.

    Horses/courses again, I guess...

think yourself lucky you dont have a gel comfort insert in it then! warm that up in the med sun and its too hot to sit on for hours, its just like one of those gel pads you put in the microwave for your back pain.
    literally a PITA

I had to do that for mine when it was new. The suspension softened up after a couple of thousand miles but when new it was so firm I could hardly compress the forks if I needed to bounce the bike in order to get it moving backwards out of spaces etc. Now the bike is all day comfy but it did take a few miles.

    Don't!

I only found out by accident (honest) when one jumped over the garden wall and laid me flat out. As my neighbour farmer John says in his best Preston accent "steupid animals, born t'die"

I have only done just shy of 1k on the Tiger, mixed dress code lethers and Draggin's and it was still Spring so maybe a bit early to throw away the bum cream.
